Who is Gold Moth Mosaics?
Gold Moth Mosaics consists of two sisters in Denver, Colorado, who mosaic ordinary objects into extraordinary pieces of art.
Can you still ski on the mosaic skis?
Nope. We’ve stripped the bindings and glued a lot of unique things on them. Between the glass and the added weight, they’ll perform better on your wall than on the slopes.
Do you ship?
Yes. We will extend this service to you at cost.
How do I display my new skis?
We install hanging hardware on the back of the artwork so that you can hang them on your wall. You can also display them using supporting blocks or nails below or around the ski. Most skis are designed to be hung any direction you choose, even angled.
Can I display my mosaics outdoors?
Their outdoor days are over. Some of the materials are not weatherproof, so please display them inside. (People can take a closer look that way, anyway.)
How do I see the art in person?
If you are in the Denver metro area, we can arrange to bring them to you. Otherwise, contact us for other options.
Can you create a custom piece for me?
Yes, we can design a personal set of skis for you. Examples of customization include your name, special words, a color scheme, small relics of a hobby or interest (such as travel or golf). We’ll work with you to create a shared vision, then we have final artistic say. Contact us.
Let’s get down to business…
Skis are in the range of $1,950 (for the pair). Snowboards are approximately $2,495. Please note that prices may vary depending on the materials used on individual works; each is unique. It’s what give them personality. (One has a zipper. Yes, a zipper.)
